27 kms (total: 373 kms).
6 hours and 25 minutes (+ 1h05 of lunch and photo breaks).
9 – 15 °C., slightly overcast all day.
Favorites: long expanses of empty lands beaten by the wind; wind turbines fields; the sheep and shepard in the middle of it all; the villages hidden in the crook of the hills; the « hospital for the soul » in Castrojeriz, the house of a hermit (?), someone whose life is governed by the less, simple, calm and beauty of the soul, a stone-house enscented by lavander I would love to copy as my own… 🙂 🙂
Downs: I thought today would be a no-downs day but… finding only cold water in the shower once at the albergue; realizing that the little village I thought out of the main stops of El Camino actually is one! (It depends on which guide you read and on mine, it wasn’t, so I chose to stop here)…
Stayed at La Casa de Beli (10€/night) in Tardajos.
Met Steven (IE) and Melanie (D); had a chat with Peter (GB).
Tomorrow is another day! 🙂
Such a well trodden path, and yet there are surprises! I’m loving your account, Julie. Yep, I’m still here!! 😉
Thanks for following up!
This is just a basic account, as you may have noticed, no Spanish or French… I’ll try to tell more once back home 😉
