El Camino – Day 16

Espinosa del Camino – Cardeñuela Riopico

27 kms (total: 324 kms).

6 hours and 27 minutes (+ brunch and photo breaks).

8 – 15 °C., overcast all day with a threat of rainstorm.

Favorites: the colorful sunrise; walking up, down and flat and have all muscles work out; my pants getting looser!; walking in the middle of an oak forest; the threatening rain that actually never fell; not getting wet, then; meeting the owner of our albergue of the day, who was very helpful bed bugs-wise (checked our sleeping-bags and put our minds at ease).

Downs: walking on an endless trail (for 12 kms!) in the middle of an oak forest; cold wind in our faces; itches still… no pharmacy in this village either.

Stayed at the Albergue de La Cantina (5€/night) in Espinosa.

Now off with the crowds, we were just the 2 of us, today 🙂
