About to embark on my last journey of the summer, I first wanted to share some of the beauties I ran along with during those last 2 months. It is just a glimpse, as I’ll be writing about them later, but I hope you enjoy these enough to make you think about going here and there for your next vacation! 😉
Now, I’m off again: a long hike awaits me.
I’m leaving today to walk along El Camino. From Orthez near Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago de Compostela, or maybe even all the way to Finistere. It’ll be at least a 1-month hike. Maybe I’ll post some pictures once in a while… Or maybe I’ll just wait until I’m back to tell you about it…
Cheers! Happy September to all!

What was YOUR favorite moment of the summer?
Looks like fun! 🙂
It was a lot of fun, indeed!
Looks like you had an excellent summer! I’m envious of your Camino plan – best of luck and enjoy it! I look forward to reading about it.
Summer has been bountiful, indeed! And El Camino is the cherry on the cake! Will do my best to tell the tale when I’m back 😉
Have a great hike, Julie. I look forward for some shots. 🙂
Thank you, Stefano! I hope my pictures will represent the hike well!
Alas, I have not traveled this summer except to visit my children in cities not more than 2 hours from here. We are working very hard to move our book business and home to a house on 54 acres of restored prairie, woodland, and wetland that the conservation foundation that I work for owns! November 1 is our move-in date…and Steve’s birthday!
Less travels calls for other actions and activities; I can see your plans also sound pretty awesome! Another big adventure! Have fun!
Beautiful shots and I hope you have a wonderful trip. My favorite moments were going to France and then going to the Bighorn Mountains in Wyoming. I love to travel but because I’m working part time right now, don’t have as much time as I’d like to do so. Safe travels.

France and Wyoming! 2 fabulous destinations! Where in France were you again?
It’s important that you could find time to travel anyway and enjoy that little time away!
Take care
I was near Melisey, which is near Lure, which is near nothing big. Near Switzerland and Germany, not too far from Belfort.
A great place to get lost and enjoy some time off away from the crowds, I’m sure 😊
It is. Their house is in the forest, making for lovely walks and no nearby neighbors or noise. We always do a lot of traveling around the countryside and we also visited Colmar this year, which is lovely!
Sounds wonderful! A region I don’t know at all in my own country!
Great shots. Have a good trip.
Thanks! It sure will be fun!
