Street Photography essay in the Big Apple

De vuelta en Nueva York a finales de Noviembre, por 5a vez pero la primera sola, caminé por la ciudad según por dónde me llevaban el viento, el sol, el frío, los encuentros con los amigos, el arte callejero y los parques…

Entonces, me fui sin planes a pasear por lugares que me gustan, otros que no conocía, nuevos que me aconsejon.  Y de nuevo, me encantó la ciudad con su magia particular…

Del Lower Manhattan y el barrio de los negocios al Puente de Brooklyn pasando por el memorial a los atentados del 11 de Septiembre 2001; de la High Line – el paseo verde como él de París, sobre antiguas vias de metro aéreo – a Times Square y su tienda gigante de M&M’s y los espectáculos en Broadway – por fin, ví al « Fantasma del Ópera, » que ¡se está mostrando en la calle famosa desde hace 25 años!; de Chinatown y Little Italy al Puente de Williamsburg y el Lower East Side en donde pintó mi amiga Nicolina; de Washington Square Park al Flat Iron Building; de las orillas de Brooklyn a Central Park y my puentito favorito.

Intenté demostrar mi amor y admiración para la ciudad en esas fotos…  Por favor, ¡digánme también si me estoy mejorando en cuento a la fotografía callejera!

Back in the Big Apple at the end of November, it was my 5th time there but the first on my own; I walked the streets where the sun, the cold, the wind took me, visiting friends, seeing street art and entering the parks…

So I went without a plan, to places I love to go, to others I had never been before and more that I was told I should go.  And, once more, New York filled me up with its special magic…

From Lower Manhattan and the business center to the Brooklyn Bridge, through the 9/11 Memorial ; from the High Line – the green line just like the one in Paris, on an old and renovated aerial subway line – to Times Square and its gigantic M&M’s store and the shows on Broadway – I finally got to see the « Phantom of the Opera, » showing on the famous avenue for the 25th year!; from Chinatown and Little Italy to the Williamsburg Bridge and Lower East Side where my friend Nicolina got to paint; from Washington Square Park to the Flat Iron Building; from the riverside in Brooklyn to Central Park and my favorite little bridge…

My love and admiration for New York are in these few pictures…  Please do tell me if you think I’m getting any better at street photography!  😉

De retour dans la Grosse Pomme fin Novembre, pour la 5ème fois mais seule pour la première, j’ai déambulé dans les rues au gré du soleil, du vent, du froid de de début d’hiver, des retrouvailles avec les amis, de l’art de rue et des parcs…

Je me suis donc promenée sans plan dans la tête, de retour aux endroits que j’aime, découvrant de nouveaux et suivant les conseils que l’on me donnait.  Une fois de plus, New York m’a ensorcelée de sa magie…

Du Lower Mahnattan et son quartier des affaires au Pont de Brooklyn en passant par le Mémorial au 11 Septembre; de la High Line – comme la Coulée Verte de Paris, sur les rails d’une ancienne voie de métro aérien – à Times Square et son énorme boutique de M&M’s et les spectacles sur Broadway – j’ai enfin pu voir « Le Fantôme de l’Opéra, » œuvre jouée sur la fameuse rue depuis 25 ans!; de Chinatown et Little Italy au Pont de Williamsburg et le Lower East Side où ma copine Nicolina a peint; du Washington Square Park au Flat Iron Building; des berges de Brooklyn à Central Park où se trouve mon petit pont préféré…

Mon admiration et amour pour New York dans ces quelques photos…  N’hésitez pas à me dire si je m’améliore ou pas dans cet art de la photographie de rue!  😉
