This week’s theme : Beginning.
As we’re currently wandering close to the end of the last road in Chile before entering the region of Magellan, I remember arriving at the end of yet another road in Key West, Florida, USA; it was the end of US1 (the road that crosses the USA from north to south on the east coast). But everything that ends begins again when you turn around. So does US1 in the middle of town. And it’s pretty explicit.
[Es] Mientras estamos descubriendo casi el final de la última carretera en Chile antes de entrar en la región de Magallanes, me recuerdo llegar al final de otra carretera en Key West en Florida, EE.UU.; era el final de la US1 (la carretera que cruza el país del norte al sur por la costa este). Pero, todo lo que se termina comienza otra vez cuando uno da la vuelta. También lo hace la US1 en medio de la ciudad. Se ve muy claro.
[Fr] Alors que nous arrivons presqu’au bout de la route au sud du Chili avant de passer à la région de Magellan, je me souviens d’être arrivée au bout d’une autre route, là-haut à Key West en Floride, USA; c’était la fin de la US1 (la route qui traverse le pays du nord au sud sur la côte est). Mais, tout ce qui se termine commence de nouveau quand on fait demi-tour. C’est aussi le cas de la US1 en plein centre ville. Et on ne peut pas rater le panneau.

I love being able to trigger good memories! 😉 and wandering around Key West, discovering the southernmost point of the continental US or Mile 0 was very much fun!
