This week challenge : Geometry.
Not sure why, but with a camera in hand, I’m always very much attracted to doors, windows and bright colors. I was at my wits’ end in Saint Catherine Convent, in Arequipa, Peru, in 2010, when I took those shots. I had planned to post them later on but I found that they applied very well to this week’s theme : Geometry is what links them all.
[Fr] Je ne sais pas pourquoi mais en général, avec un appareil photo en mains, je suis toujours très attirée par les portes, fenêtres et autres couleurs chatoyantes. J’étais donc au comble du bonheur au Couvent Sainte Catherine, au cœur d’Arequipa au Pérou, en 2010, lorsque j’ai pris ces photos. J’avais prévu de leur consacrer un article tout particulier mais elles trouvent tout simplement un espace avec le thème de la semaine : la Géométrie les relie toutes.
[Es] No sé por qué pero cuando me encuentro con una cámara en las manos, siempre me siento muy atraída por las puertas, ventanas y colores fuertes. Me sentí muy feliz mientras caminaba entre las paredes del Convento Santa Catalina de Arequipa, Perú, en 2010, cuando saque esas fotos. Pensaba darles su hora de fama en otro artículo pero el tema de la semana les toca muy bien : la Geometría es lo que tienen en común.

All your shots show openings into another space with room to be. It is maybe not about the form of the door or window but more about what is behind it?
Yes, Chris, it might be it. After some thoughts, it might well also be all the possibilities behind the doors/windows that make me take the picture, the perspective of what might be. Thanks for the insight.
