The other day, I was telling Jeff that, when I go walking downtown, it’s hard for me to find a subject on which to focus my attention and from which I could create an image; he recomended that I not look for objects but rather for light and shadow plays modeled by the city architecture, colors (like yesterday’s) or even reflexions.
And, since my eyes are riveted to the sky these days, I found this one.

Beautiful photo! The skies are certainly bluer and the birds are louder. It’s funny because we have a lot of gulls in Milwaukee. I didn’t remember hearing them when I lived here 6 years ago. Now I hear them all the time…I keep waking up, thinking I’m on the coast somewhere far away.
How funny… it would be interesting to know if they were always there and you couldn’t hear them or if they just came back.. seeing that some species have come back to some places long abandoned…
Hope you’ve settled back in nicely and that lockdown in Milwaukee is going easy on you both.
Take care.
I keep hearing stories aobut how the air is cleaning up in parts of the world where commerce and industry has been shut down due to covid (China, Himalayas…) so this is a perfect photo for these times, I’d say.
A reflection of the times (as well as a really lovely photo — the window frames with their symmetry and slight bowing frame the clouds and sky beautifully).
It sure has cleaned up, here too. I saw pictures of France since lockdown began and the difference is eerie. Besides, like I said many times already here, the sky has never been bluer for so long at a time in Paris than it has since we’re not moving and producing so much.
I love the results albeit the causes…
This one may very well be my favorite! So far anyway 🙂
Thanks! 😊
I’m glad it caught your eye.
