El Camino – Day 35

Puente Campaña – Salceda

34 kms (total: 780 kms).

8 hours (+ 2h of breakfast, lunch and photo breaks).

8 – 22°C., overcast all day, with fog and a slight drizzle in the afternoon.

Favorites: wake up to another beautiful sunrise; walk on my own first, before Tatiana and Marlón catch up with me with music from « Into the Wild; » give a few euros to Roland & Rocinante, the donkey, so they can go on with their own walk to Santiago; my longest day ever since the beginning of the journey!

Downs: know there’s an awesome photographer in Boavista, last village we pass by before our day’s destination, but find his door closed for the day; arrive in a cute hostel in Salceda where there’s a promise of hydromassage in the shower… to find only cold water 😢😢; suddenly discover a new tendon in my left foot because it hurt at the end of the day.

Stayed at Albergue Casa Domingo (10€/night), the only one in Puente Campaña.

Met up with Sonia and her Australian gang on the way.

                   Tomorrow is our second-to-last day on El Camino..
