El Camino – Day 2

Sauveterre de Béarn – Ostabat

26 kms (total: 48 kms)

7 hours and 7 minutes (+ 2h30 of lunch and photo breaks)

19 – 30°C, sunny all day.

Favorites: Walking in the shade of the trees once in a while, taking advantage of softer ground whenever possible instead of the hard asphalt that’s much stressful for my knees. And the views were spectacular!!!!

Downs: I didn’t know my hips could hurt so much under the weight of this (new) backpack! Nor did I expect the sun and heat to be so relentless upon my head and shoulders… I will get tanned, all right! 😉

Stayed at Maison de la Tour, 5 rue Léon Bérard in Sauveterre (15€/night, breakfast included).
