At the end of December, I went to Nice to visit friends and family. Since the sun was out too, my cousin offered that we go have a hot chocolate on a terrace. During winter, you can’t refuse such an offer! She knows a place where that hot chocolate is one of the most delicious and better still, in a very special and peculiar atmosphere.
Among pink tones, antique furniture, original jewelry made by a local creator, music from the 70’s and the 80’s, I’ve found there a sweet little place in the past, where I could dream away and enjoy it nicely.
Au Goût Thé d’Antan (at 31 avenue Alfred Borriglione) is a lovely unusual tea house where Precilla bakes home-made tasty cakes, hot chocolates with exotic flavors, teas from all over the world and full-bodied and strong coffees.
Too bad I don’t live in Nice, otherwise, it’d have become my new head-quarters.

Fin décembre dernier, je suis allée me promener à Nice pour revoir famille et amis. Profitant du soleil, ma cousine m’a proposé de boire un chocolat chaud en terrasse. En hiver, cela ne se refuse pas! Elle connait un endroit où ce fameux chocolat chaud est des plus délicieux, mais surtout dans une ambiance toute chaleureuse et particulière.
Au milieu d’une décoration aux tons rosés, des meubles sortis d’un magasin d’antiquaire, des bijoux originaux vendus par une créatrice locale, de la musique des années 70 et 80, j’ai trouvé un petit coin de passé tout doux où rêver et prendre mon temps.
Au Goût Thé d’Antan (au 31 avenue Alfred Borriglione) est un salon de thé atypique où Precilla cuisine tous les jours des gâteaux aux recettes personnalisées, des chocolats chauds aux saveurs exotiques, des thés du monde entier et du café aux arômes forts et corsés.
Dommage que je n’habite pas à Nice, sinon, ce serait devenu mon nouveau QG. 😉

A finales de diciembre, me fui de paseo a Nissa, para visitar a amigos y familia. Para disfrutar del sol, mi prima propusó que vayamos a tomar un chocolate caliente en una terraza. En invierno, ¡tal propuesta no se puede rechazar! Conoce un lugar en donde el famoso chocolate caliente es uno de los más deliciosos y sobre todo en un ambiante bien particular y original.
En medio de una decoración de tonos rosados, de muebles antiguos, de joyeria original por una creadora local, música de los años 70 y 80, encontré ahí un lugar fuera del tiempo, en donde uno puede soñar y tomar su tiempo.
Au Goût Thé d’Antan (31 avenida Alfred Borriglione) es un salón de té atípico donde Precilla cocina todos los días sus pasteles caseros muy sabrosos, tiene chocolates calientes con sabores exóticos, tés de todo el mundo y cafés fuertes.
Que lástima que no viva en Nissa, hubiera escogido el lugar como mi nuevo cartel general.

Oh my gosh! That hot chocolate looks amazing!! I was just speaking to my students about how hot chocolate, pastries and bread here in America are just not as good as in Europe.
