J’ai découvert la plongée sous-marine avec le plus grand plaisir lors de mon séjour en Thaïlande en 2010.  C’était avec mon frère et des amis, une nouvelle aventure qui m’a ouvert les yeux encore plus grands sur la mer et l’océan que j’adorais déjà depuis ma plus tendre enfance.  En effet, dans la maison de mes grands-parents, on apprenait à nager dès le plus jeune âge et nos fréquentes sorties à la mer n’ont fait que renforcer un sentiment de bonheur inégalable dans, sous et sur l’eau.

Après avoir passé ma certification de 1er niveau de plongée (Open Water Certification) avec Phi Phi Diving Center sur l‘île de Ko Phi Phi, en Thaïlande justement, j’ai eu le plaisir de plonger dans plusieurs endroits magiques:

* les récifs coralliens de la 2ème plus grande barrière de corail du monde le long de la côte caraïbes du Mexique au large de l’île de Cozumel avec Markos Parrotfish Dive Center;

* les (faux) Moais submergés et les beautés des grottes sous-marines le long de Rapa Nui (l’île de Pâques) au Chili avec Orca Diving Center;

* le magnifique Blue Hole et ses environs près de l’île de Caye Caulker au Bélize avec Frenchie’s Diving;

* les cenotes magiques dans les grottes souterraines près de Tulum au Mexique, avec Diving Cenotes Tulum;

A chaque fois, j’ai eu de la chance en trouvant les centres de plongée adaptés à mes goûts et mes envies, avec des moniteurs professionnels, engagés, respectueux de la faune et de la flore sous-marines.  Mais à chaque nouvelle destination, je me demande bien comment trouver mon bonheur parmi tous ceux qui offrent leurs services.  Souvent, je vérifie sur d’autres blogs d’aventuriers s’ils ont de bons conseils mais la plupart du temps, j’y vais à l’aveugle.

I first discovered scuba-diving, for my greatest pleasure, in Thailand in 2010.  I was with my brother and some friends, a new adventure that opened my eyes even wider on the ocean and the pleasure I had to be there, something that ran deep inside me since my early childhood.  Indeed, at my grand-parents’ house, we would learn how to swim from a very early age and our frequent outings to the ocean only reenforced a strong feeling and attachment to all activities in, on and under water.

After getting my Open Water Certification that time with Phi Phi Diving Center on Ko Phi Phi island, Thailand, I was happy and lucky to be able to dive in a few other fabulous diving locations:

* the second largest coral reaf along the Caribbean coast of Mexico, on Cozumel island with Markos Parrotfish Dive Center;

* the (fake) submerged Moais and the beautiful underwater caves along Rapa Nui (Easter Island), Chile, with Orca Diving Center;

* the gorgeous Blue Hole and its surroundings near Caye Caulker island, Belize, with Frenchie’s Diving;

* the magical sinkholes in underground caves near Tulum, Mexico, with Diving Cenotes Tulum;

Every time, I was lucky enough to find a dive center that was spot-on with my passion and tastes, with professionnal dive masters and guides, motivated, strong-willed, passionate and respectful of the underwater flora and fauna.  Nevertheless, every time I go to a new destination, I wonder how I’ll be able to choose among all diving services.  More often than not, I’ll be checking out other adventurers’ blogs and see where they’ve been; and, of course, I’ll try my luck again.

Descubrí el buceo con mucho gusto, por primera vez en Tailandia, durante el viaje de 2010.  Fue con mi hermano y amigos, una nueva aventura que me abrió los ojos aún más grandes sobre el mar y el océan, que ya me agradaban desde mi niñez.  Pues, en casa de mis abuelos, se enseñaba a nadar desde muy chiquito y nuestras salidas frecuentes al mar entretuvo un sentimiento de grande felicidad en, bajo y por encima del agua.

Luego de haber obtenido mi primer nivel de buceo (Open Water Certification) con Phi Phi Diving Center en la isla de Ko Phi Phi, ésa vez en Tailandia, me tocó bucear en otros lugares mágicos:

* la 2nda barrera de coral más grande del mundo a lo largo de la costa Caribe de México, en la isla de Cozumel, con Markos Parrotfish Dive Center;

* los (falsos) Moais submegidos y las cuevas hermosas de Rapa Nui (Isla de Pascua) en Chile, con Orca Diving Center;

* el magnifico Agujero Azul y sus alrededores cerca de Caye Caulker en Belice con Frenchie’s Diving;

* los cenotes mágicos y otras cuevas cerca de Tulum, México, con Diving Cenotes Tulum;

Cada vez, tuve mucha suerte encontrando siempre un centro de buceo en adecuación con mis gustos y entojos, con instructores profesionales, involucrados, motivados, respetuosos de la fauna y de la flora submarina.  Sin embargo, a cada nuevo viaje, me pregunto de nuevo cómo encontrar el lugar correcto en medio de todas las proposiciones y ofertas.  Muchas veces, voy a checar los consejos de otros aventureros blogueros, pero en general, escojo a ciegas.
