The challenge 2 weeks ago: Endurance.
After 3 years of loyal services and endurance through South America treks twice, my hiking boots gave up during our last trek together to the Lost City in Colombia. R.I.P. Thanks for the great hikes!

Last week’s challenge: Nighttime.
I ain’t good at taking pictures at night, I told you… So, I’ve currently decided to not take any pictures at night in order to not be disappointed. One I’m pretty proud of, though, is that one in Seattle, WA, USA, in October last year.

This week’s challenge: Signs.
So we were on that deserted island in the middle of the San Blas archipelago in Panama… San Blas Adventures – the awesome agency we went with – still has to put up this kind of sign for people to enjoy themselves AND respect the place and the people they’re visiting. Sometimes, I don’t understand why these simple things aren’t just imprinted in our way of living with others…
Have a lovely week-end!
Amazing fotos! I wish you 2 a nice journey in Europe!
you’re too sweet Fabio! thank YOU for the fabulous trip! come back here soon so you can see more! 😉
Enjoy your vacation and we see you next week?!?
Awesome shot of Seattle Julie! It must have been hard to ditch your boots. I know that I wear running shoes way longer than recommended simply because of the comfort and familiarity. A running friend of mine has actually stitched up the torn uppers because the grips are still OK.
it felt weird to ditch the boots… but I know I’ll soon have another love story with brand new ones! 😉 I did all I could with these, and kept them in spite of holes because they were still quite waterproof. but all comes to an end, in the end…
Enjoyed viewing your photos. The boots look like they were very faithful to have held up for your journeys. Will you keep them? I photographed a few boots used as planters in a garden shop. Perhaps , you could use them to give your favorite plant a loving home.
Great photos !!! 😀
The boots have found a new resting place over there in Colombia right after the trek… had I known your idea of a planter in the garden, I might have thought to keep them a bit longer… But as we’re still travelling and looking to get lighter and lighter, these didn’t have a chance to make it back with me…
Thanks for your support! I’m glad you enjoyed the photos for these challenges!
Your nighttime shot turned out just fine! They are incredibly difficult. Mine are always blurry. I think I need a tripod.
I definitely need a tripod too; but travelling with one is yet another adventure…
